The study of decision-making

The following study is part of a research project by the Chair of Experimental Psychology at the University of Mannheim in Germany. The goal of the study is to find out more about how humans make decisions. In this study we will ask you to work on several tasks. Taking part in this study is entirely voluntary and you may cease participation at any time. Participating in the study will take about 30 minutes.

No information about your identity will be associated with your answers. There are no known physical, social, or legal risks involved in the study. The study employs variants of survey questions and experimental tasks that have been widely used in previous studies.
About the researcher
Yury Shevchenko has been a PhD student at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences of Mannheim University, Germany since September 2014. He studied Psychology at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia and received his diploma in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he gained working experience in the area of management training and assessment at a consultancy company. Sponsored by the Swiss Government Scholarship, he conducted research at the Center for Economic Psychology of the University of Basel, Switzerland from September 2012 to June 2013. Since September 2013, Yury has worked as a researcher at the Experimental psychology chair of Mannheim University. In his research he focuses on mechanisms in a decision-making process.
