Call for Participants changes ownership

16 November 2020

Call for Participants has its origins as a winning project in Jisc's 2013 Summer of Student Innovation competition, and, ever since that year, Jisc has been working with the original founders, Martin Kruusimagi and Dan Ratzinger. In 2017, Jisc took the decision to purchase the site and deliver Call for Participants as one of its own services. Following this decision, Martin was retained on a consultancy basis to oversee the day-to-day operation of the site and to maintain service continuity.

During 2020, Jisc has been refocusing its priorities to better align with its new internal operating model and the pressing need to help their members respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in the summer, the decision was taken to cease offering Call for Participants as a Jisc service, and to return it to the ownership of its original founders.

Martin and Dan would then be able to continue providing the service and could enhance and develop Call for Participants independently, in response to customer requests and changes in the marketplace. The new owner of Call for Participants will be CFP Digital OÜ (Register Number 16069057) which is based in Estonia (EU).

This change in ownership will not affect the services you receive, and the site content has been transferred from Jisc to the new hosting provider. The only difference you will notice is that the name of the company providing the service to you has changed to CFP Digital OÜ.

If you have any queries about these arrangements, please contact Martin at hello@callforparticipants.com.
