The role of early childhood experiences in shaping people’s personality

17 March 2025

This study explores how early childhood experiences, temperament, and parental bonds influence personality traits and behavioural tendencies. Specifically, it investigates personality traits associated with the complex psychological construct of psychopathy. However, the study does not seek to determine whether someone is a psychopath but rather to examine how childhood experiences contribute to psychopathy-related traits in the general population.
