Doing Time During Pandemic Times

Doing Time During Pandemic Times is an investigation of experiential time and related impacts of COVID-19 restricted measures on people who lived in prison during the pandemic.
The study is looking to interview people (virtually or in person) who lived in prison during the COVID-19 pandemic in England, and who are comfortable talking about their experiences during this time.
Individuals who are currently on probation are welcome to participate (excluding NPS North East, East Midlands and London)
Requirements
- Study participants will be included if they are aged 18 or over and were in an English prison during the COVID-19 pandemic and the period of restrictive measures (March 2020-Summer 2022).
- Individuals will have served longer than a 12 month sentence.
- All individuals will currently be in the community and are welcome to participate if they are on probation.

This study was approved by the LJMU ethics committee on 02/05/2024 and was approved by the NRC on 19/06/2024.
About the researcher
I am a current PhD student at Liverpool John Moores within the Public Health Department.
