01 November 2024
This is a pilot study for a PhD project. It is aiming to understand multiple aspects of the Cornish and Manx languages: their usefulness in the modern era, how they are taught, what role either language plays in Cornish or Manx identity, as well as its relationship with politics, particularly since the Brexit referendum in 2016.
Requirements
- Age 18+
- Live in either Cornwall or the Isle of Man
- It is not required to speak Cornish or Manx, although people who have knowledge of either language are desired to take part. All responses from those who live in Cornwall or the Isle of Man are welcome regardless of language ability.
